August 8, 2013 - Phoenix, AZ - Cable ONE was recently named 2013 Independent Operator of the Year by Cable FAX Magazine.
Presented annually by CableFAX Magazine and sponsored by the American Cable Association and the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), this honor recognizes an ACA/NCTC independent cable operator that has distinguished itself by exemplifying excellence in service, sales, marketing, community service, and industry advocacy.
“We want to thank all 2,100 of our associates for their dedication and commitment to Cable ONE and the communities we serve,” said Cable ONE President and Chief Executive Officer, Tom Might. “Our continued success is a testament to the work they do day in and day out to serve our customers.“
Cable ONE has had a busy 12 months, starting with an investment of nearly $60 million in an infrastructure upgrade which will provide Cable ONE customers with enhanced speed, reliability, and quality in their Internet, cable, and phone service. The project, which began in 2012 and will continue through 2014, will impact the majority of Cable ONE’s 42 markets.
“We’re committed to delivering the best possible experience to our customers,” Might said. “We’re confident that this investment will ensure that our customers will receive superior service in the speed, reliability, and the overall performance of our services.”
Cable ONE’s continued focus on delivering outstanding service to its customers led to a recent ranking by PC Magazine, which named the company as one of the top 10 fastest Internet Service Providers (ISP) in the nation.
Earlier this year, the company backed its belief in the quality and reliability of its services with the implementation of a 30-day money back satisfaction guarantee for new and existing customers who subscribe to any new service with Cable ONE.
“We believe strongly in the reliability of our products and services and we’re committed to providing our customers with cutting-edge technology and on-going enhancements,” said Joe Felbab, Cable ONE Vice President of Marketing.
Cable ONE is also responding to customer demand for increased programming content online with its launch of TV Everywhere, which allows customers to stream their favorite shows and movies from their computer, tablet, or smart phone; and ESPN3 for sports fans who subscribe to Cable ONE high speed Internet service.
This fall, Cable ONE will begin offering TiVo, based on feedback from customers.
“TiVo will allow our customers to get the best of TV and the web in one amazing service,” Felbab said. “It will provide our customers the opportunity to personalize their whole home-home entertainment experience.”
