Digital Converters

Digital converters are available which will “down convert” a digital broadcast signal to analog so older televisions will work with the new digital signals. These digital converters can be purchased at retail locations, including WalMart, Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Circuit City. A complete list of authorized retailers can be found at www.dtv2009.gov.  Not all digital transition converter boxes are eligible for the $40 Coupon Program.

If you are in an area where you will have both digital and analog broadcast signals (many low power stations will remain analog after the digital transition), you will need a digital transition converter which has a “pass through” feature which will accept both an analog signal and the newer digital signals and display them on your TV.

Cable ONE customers whose TV is currently connected to Cable ONE Cable (either with or without a Cable One converter) will not need a digital TV nor a Digital Transition Box. A cable ready TV connected to Cable ONE will continue to work after the digital transition.

Cable starts as low as $20 per month for up to 3 TV’s.
